24 Solutions is looking for talented Application specialists! (Stockholm and Kuala Lumpur)

Within our business segment Managed Services, which operates at our offices in Stockholm and Kuala Lumpur, we provide outsourcing services targeting customers with high demands on availability and security.

We are now strengthening our already talented team with another specialist and key player with focus on application servers and common web environments.

You will be part of developing of a growing segment of 24 Solutions, Application Management. We will provide relevant education to make sure that you are up to date with the latest technology in this area. As an Application Specialist you will be an important part of a team of experts in Windows, Linux, MySQL, MS SQL, Oracle and infrastructure. The position might involve traveling to Sweden for training.

The position
As a System Specialist within the Managed Application group you will deal with both daily operations and with strategic aspects of the application services we provide to our customers. You will primarily be focusing on web applications and making sure we are using the best technologies available. Your daily tasks will involve monitoring, maintenance, optimization and troubleshooting. You will be expected to think and work proactively and have a customer oriented approach. We work with open source products such as Jboss, Resin, Tomcat and php-applications such Wordpress, Joomla and Drupal.

The competence and experience we believe that you need for this position is:

• 3-5 years of experience of maintenance of larger installations
• Good knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems
• Good knowledge of java based web engines and CMS/publishing solutions
• Good knowledge in database administration, for example MySQL, Postgres and Oracle
• Good knowledge in scripting and script languages, for example Bash, Perl and Python

Personal characteristics:

• High social competence
• Analytical
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Ability to work well in group

It is an advantage if you also have:

• Knowledge in SAN and Backups
  Knowledge in VMware and virtualization
  Project Management Experience
